About the Opportunity
As we prepare for the upcoming summer season, Sun Peaks Grand Hotel & Conference Centre has an exciting opportunity for a Guest Services Agent and a Night Manager to join our team in our Sun Peaks, BC on a full-time, seasonal basis.
The Guest Services Agent plays a vital role in establishing a positive experience for our guests as they are the first interaction when arriving at the property. The Guest Services Agent ensures the welcoming procedures are executed smoothly, delivering an elevated guest experience.
Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting guests upon arrival, making them feel welcome
- Administering check-in and check-out processes, providing reservation information, and answering/directing calls
- Interacting with guests, sharing knowledge about hotel facilities and Sun Peaks in general to enhance the guest experience
- Anticipating guests' needs and proactively resolving concerns
- Acting as an ambassador of the Hotel & Sun Peaks Resort, driving customer loyalty
- Working a variety of shifts as required - AM/PM/nights
The Night Manager play a vital role in establishing a positive experience for our guests when they arrive to the property in the evening. The Night Manager ensures all procedures are executed smoothly, including the security of the building in the evening, and the thorough ed-of-day auditing for reporting.
Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Championing quality service when assisting with guest check-ins, check-outs, and additional guest requests
- Overseeing the overnight front desk and ensuring professionalism and consistency in all standard procedures
- Taking note of opportunities to improve processes and remove barriers that weaken the guest experience
- Interacting with guests, sharing knowledge about hotel facilities and Sun Peaks in general to enhance the guest experience
- Being accountable for end-of-day audit activities, and organizing the revenue centre transactions, including F&B and front office transactions
More About You
To qualify for the Guest Services Agent role, you will have experience within a customer-facing role, and the drive and desire to grow into a supervisory role. Post-secondary education in Tourism and Hospitality or a related field would be preferred, but is not essential. You will have impeccable customer service, communication skills, and interpersonal skills. Most importantly, you will have a will-do attitude and be open to help the team as needed!
Other qualifications we look for in a successful candidate:
To qualify for the Night Manager role, you will have a minimum one year guest-facing hotel experience, along with some progressive supervisory experience in any field. You must also be proficient with hotel reservations systems, with knowledge of Opera being an asset. You must have efficient communication skills, and the desire to mentor your peers to ensure the success of the department. Finally, you must be available to work the overnight shift.
