About the Opportunity
As we prepare for the upcoming summer season, Sun Peaks Grand Hotel & Conference Centre has an exciting opportunity for Reservations Supervisors and Agents to join our team in our Sun Peaks, BC on a full-time, seasonal basis.
Reservations Supervisors will lead the reservations team on a daily basis and ensure the department runs smoothly. This role will foster a culture of success through strong leadership and team dynamic that enables an elevated guest experience.
Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Answering phones and completing full-cycle reservation requests with the goal securing bookings
- Communicating booking trends and contributing to the overall strategy of the business
- Overseeing, training and monitoring the reservations team, ensuring compliance of approved processes and standards
- Assessing the needs of guests and providing practical suggestions to enhance their stay
- Mentoring and coaching Reservations Agents to encourage skill development and growth
- Creating a cohesive Front Office team with shared accountability as it relates to scheduling, task delegation, and business volumes
Reservations Agents play a vital role in establishing a positive experience for our guests as they are the first interaction before arriving at the property. They ensure clients' holidays are booked according to their requirements and that the hotel team is ready for their arrival, delivering an elevated guest experience.
Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting guests with booking their holiday, including restaurant, resort activities, and services reservations
- Monitoring and responding to reservation requests by phone, email and extranet
- Providing impeccable customer service and handling queries and concerns professionally
- Acting as an ambassador of the Hotel & Sun Peaks Resort, driving customer loyalty
- Assisting the front-desk as a Guest Services Agent when required
- Interacting with guests throughout their stay, anticipating their needs, and proactively resolving concerns
- Thinking outside the box for solutions when emergency situations arise
More About You
To qualify for a Reservations Supervisor role, you will have post-secondary education in Tourism/Hospitality or a related field, and have a minimum two years experience in Reservations or Front Office departments. You must also be proficient with reservations systems, with knowledge of Opera being an asset. You must have efficient communication skills, and the desire to mentor your peers to ensure the success of the department.
To qualify for a Reservations Agent role, you must be proficient with standard computer systems, and working knowledge of hotel reservation systems. Candidates will have impeccable customer service and the ability to handle customer queries and concerns professionally. You will also have great communication skills in person, through the phone, and by email.
If you have excellent communication, business acumen, and interpersonal skills, along with outstanding attention to detail, you will thrive in this role.
