About the Opportunity

Sun Peaks Resort has an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Technician (Tier 2) to join our team in Sun Peaks, BC on a full-time, permanent basis. Apply today to live, work, and play where you belong!

Working in our stunning mountain resort, you will be responsible for providing internal IT support to different departments throughout the resort. As an IT Support Technician (Tier 2), your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Responding to internal requests for technical support
  • Organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling workload, using in-house help desk systems
  • Staging, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing hardware/software
  • Installing various networks, A/V, surveillance tools, and POS/payment systems
  • Managing and documenting assets, and assisting in tracking hardware/software licensing
  • Onboarding/Offboarding user administration
  • Training new hires on the proper use of hardware and software
  • Participating in special projects to improve the administration of IT infrastructure
  • Supporting other departments as needed, and participating in special promotions

More About You

To qualify for this role, you will have completed an accredited IT program and have 1 year of experience providing IT support. You will also join us with a high level of troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

The following skills and experience will ensure you thrive in this role:

  • Proven discretion and confidentiality of personal information and administration
  • Quick thinker, able to diagnose and come up with solutions to problems as they arise
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Polished interpersonal and organizational skills

Lastly, you are self-motivated, mature, and able to work with minimum supervision. You are a natural leader that works well with others, and leads by example to help achieve the department's and company's goals and objectives.
