About the Opportunity
With the expansion of our Mountain Bike Park this summer, Sun Peaks Resort has an exciting opportunity for multiple Lift Operators to join our team in Sun Peaks, BC on a full-time, seasonal basis.
Our Lift Operators are key guest-facing members of our summer operations team at Sun Peaks Resort. Lift Operators ensure guest's safe loading and unloading practices and monitor the RFID ticket system.
Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Lift Maintenance team with routine start-up and safety checks
- Practicing all safety measures to ensure all guests load and unload safely
- Providing extra assistance to those guests requiring help, including loading and unloading mountain bikes
- Up keeping of all workstations and ensuring all areas are free from obstructions
- Working as part of the lift operations team to ensure all safety practices are being followed by employees and guests
- Assist in the operation of the Vehicle Parking areas and RV park
- Acting as an ambassador for Sun Peaks Resort, by maintaining a professional appearance and being personable
More About You
To qualify for this role, all you need is a will-do attitude, great interpersonal skills, and a love for the outdoors! This is a physical job, so you will also be physically fit and free of injuries, with the ability to carry up to 50lbs (23kg) continuously, and spend large portions of your day standing and moving around.
You will be a people-person, eager to work collaboratively within the team, and have a sincere willingness to provide our guests with a remarkable experience. You will have great communication skills, be focused, and have a safety-first mindset at all times. Lastly, you will love being outdoors, and be able and willing to work in all weather conditions.
